TOOLS
The tools section is a list of tools we have made available that may be useful to you or your guild members. Most tools are designed to be used with MMO Guildsites - but some, such as the Armory Character Info Generator, can be used outside of it as well.

Use This Tool
Installing The MMO Guildsites Firefox Addon
To install this tool, simply click on the Install Extension button below which will install the MMO Guildsites Firefox Extension for you. When you click on the link, you will have to Allow Firefox to install the extension from this site. With the yellow warning window that pops up, click the Edit Options link and add www.mmoguildsites.com to the list of sites which you are allowed to install extension from. After doing so click the install link again and it will begin installing.
Temporarily Disabled
Using The MMO Guildsites Firefox Addon
When you install this extension it will add a status panel to the bottom right corner of your firefox window, with 3 icons representing the Users Online for your guild site, your private messages and the upcoming events.
To have the addon pull data from your site and your user account you must set your site, email and password in the preferences in the addon. To do that right click on the panel and from the popup menu select preferences.
Once you enter your correct site, email and password you can right click on the addon again and from the popup menu select "Check Your Sites Data", which will then grab the correct data for your site and user. The addon automatically rechecks the data every 15 minutes for you, but you can always check sooner using the method mentioned above.

Tried to use this but it doesn't seem to work. Entered the web address for my site but when I tell it to go to my web site it just goes to a tab that tried to take me to http.com...oh well

Hi Hellicon:

Do not include http:// in the url.

ie put: enmity.mmoguildsites.net - rather than http://enmity.mmoguildsites.net

And you will find it works.

This is our first attempt at a firefox addon so may have a few issues, we will be continuing to work to improve it and do appreciate hearing feedback such as this so we can improve it =)

Can we make the polling timing user definable in the preferences? Would like to poll faster then 15 mins without having to manually update the data. Thanks.

Hi Keko:

During one of the future updates to this addon we will allow users to change the polling time. We have locked it at 15 minutes for this first release to see how many users use the addon and how much extra stress it adds to our webserver.

Once we have some more data from the addon you will be able to set the polling time to a shorter time (such as 5min or 2min) - we would also love to hear any feedback from you guys who do give this a try so we know what you would like to see to make it improved (new functionality you'd like to see in it, improvements to existing functionality etc) =)

It would be nice to not have our password in full plain text for anyone to see after we enter it.

don't work for sites with outside DNS's
example http://tribesin.com/

Even viewing the guild list on this site shows the DNS site..

Please hook off the site's url not off the guild.mmoguildsites.com or provide a way of viewing the guild.mmoguildsites.com within the guild list..

Also an add this URL for the page your viewing would be convenient.. or pull a cookie from the site..
*shrug* good concept..

Hi Spinweaver:

If you enter just tribesin.com rather then http://tribesin.com it will work =)

Great tool! It would be nice if it showed when there were unread forum posts.

Addon is awesome! Although I agree with Baff, I don't like how my credentials are in plaintext.
