Warhammer's NDA dropped yesterday, so today we have a fun tool to help keep you occupied until launch - the Warhammer Career Planner! =) The Career Planner allows you to pick a career, it lists your masteries, and you spend points to determine what spec you want for your character.

Check it out here: http://war.mmoguildsites.com/career_planner

Using the Career Planner
The Planner assumes you are level 40, and have 25 points to spend. To spend points click the "+" icon below a tree.

You do not gain abilities simply by putting points in the tree; you must also buy the abilities if you want them, making the trees actually 22 points to fully purchase, and not 15 like you may think.

Once you have enough points in a tree the ability will light up to show it can be purchased; then you can click the ability to buy it and click it again to unbuy it.

As you put points into trees, it will improve all the abilities in that tree; the tooltips for each ability updates as you put points in the tree so you can see the difference they make.

A few quick notes:
Currently it is destruction only; order is up next and should be live in a few days Update: order is now live =)

We are releasing this early, expect it to receive quite a few enhancements in the near future making it even more awesome!

Update 2: We have added a section to the bottom of the career planning, listing all of the skills for each career not included in the above trees, so you can have a better overview of what abilities are available to the career

I suspected you would suppor WAR heavily once release was imminent and features like this (and the general great service you offer) only serve to confirm what a great choice MMOguildsites was as a host for our guild :)

Wow... this is simply pimping. I truly prefer it to the WarDB one because it updates the damage readings in real time and the layout is just sexy. Nice job, guys!

WAR!!! (God I don't know why but I hate saying WOW now.) Thanks again for all the support you guys give us. MMO Guildsites really makes running a guild site FUN!

Looks promising. Now to wait for the orders side to be made.

Is there not an option to add this as a block or navigation page? I assume this must be added to our sites through the 'Make new Page' tab under 'settings'?

Looks great btw.

Hi Gams,

For now this is just a fun tool we are making you can use to plan your career; by making this we are collecting all of the icons and info about careers however, that we will be using for future features that can be embedded on your guild site =)

You can embed it in your site if you wish using a custom page and an iframe, by setting the page to use the HTML renderer and adding code like this:

<iframe src="http://war.mmoguildsites.com/career_planner" style="border: 0px; width: 100%; height: 1000px;"></iframe>

Just noticed that each tree is lacking it's description of use.
So maybe if I moused over the words "Path of Da' Brawler" for the Black Orc it would display a tool tip stating its "the kick butt tree".

continued, or a good place would be in the box with the core mastery abilities.

very nice, did use the embed code to get it on my site but was wondering if you can make it a official module

Hi Pauleh,

We will be updating it in the near future to have a small embeddable version you can link from anywhere on your site and it will embed it, sorta like an id card style layout, and clicking it will go to the big version. =)

That should be coming sometime in the next couple weeks =)
